Berlin Center, December 7 - William Beight [sic] died at his home in Snodes, Sunday at 11 a.m. Mr. Beight [sic] had many friends and relatives in Berlin and was well known. He leaves two sons, one daughter, one grandchild and four great grand children to mourn his loss. Funeral at Atwater at 1 p.m.

William served as a constable in Atwater according to the 1885 history of Portage County.
He also operated a number of small businesses in Snodes Station, Smith Township, Mahoning County. They included a hoop factory, sawmill and cider press.
