PAMPA - Carrie Melton, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Melton was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Temple. She married Wayne Thomas Melton on Dec. 21, 1927, in Wellington. She and her husband managed Town House Apartments in Borger from 1965 until 1976. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1993. She had been a resident of Borger from 1943 until 1986, when she moved to Pampa. She was a former member of Bunavista Methodist Church in Borger. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Susie Lindsey and husband, Tommy, of Pampa and Wanda Spence and husband, Choppy, of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren, Stephanie Poticny and husband, Dan, of Arlington, Lisa Farina and husband, Jayme, and Leigh Ann Huber and husband, Nathan, all of Keller, and Lori Lindsey of Lubbock; and four great-grandchildren, Todd Poticny and Taylor Poticny, both of Arlington, and Elisabeth Farina and Presleigh Huber, both of Keller.

The family suggests memorials be to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis St., Pampa, TX 79065.
