died aged 87 in her home on North Mill River known as the Hawks Tavern, South Deerfield following a weeks illness of grip and pneumonia, had been in frail health during the winter months; after marriage in 1855 she moved with her husband to the home she died in; she was a home loving woman and a great reader; survivors were six children, Mrs J.A.Allen of Shelburne, Mrs Ida M Jenkins and Mrs Anna Williams of Springfield, George E of South Deerfield, Miss Luella and William May who lived with their mother [published March 17, 1921 Springfield Republican]
