George Logan, 56, of the Allentown community east of Wheelersburg on old Route 52, died at 2:35 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Logan was a crane operator for Detroit Steel Corp. Portsmouth Division and he has resided in the Wheelersburg vicinity for the last 25 years. Mr. Logan was born in Lewis Co., Ky., June 23, 1899, a son of Samuel Logan and Lucy Felty Logan. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the CIO-United Steelworkers Union Local No. 2116. Surviving are his wife, Mary Keeney Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Lorena Cooper of Allentown, and Mrs. Louise Webb of Columbus; two grandchildren; Connie Sue and Gary Webb; three brothers, Samuel of Sciotoville Rt. 4, Albert, of Milford Rt. 1, and Henry, of Newark, Ohio; sister, Hurtline Logan of Tygart Valley, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
