H. Edwin "Ed"Lee,age 86,of New Castle,went to meet the Lord in the early morning hours of Friday,May 4,2012,at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born,Oct. 5,1925, to the late Harold B. and Mary E. (Baughn) Lee. He has gone to be with two loves of his life (Annabelle and Gladys) as well as many other loved ones.
Ed graduated from New Castle High School in 1944. He was a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Corporal in the Army Engineer Corps. Ed attended college at Ball State in Muncie. He retired on Apr. 1,1987,from Modernfold (formerly New Castle Products) after 35 years of service.
Ed was an active lifetime member of New Castle First Friends Meeting and volunteered at the Salvation Army. He was a volunteer and board member for the Wilbur Wright Birthplace Museum in Millville. In his youth ,he was an excellent baseball player for the New Castle League,a softball player for the church league and an avid bowler. He was a hugger and a teaser,loved and was loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed telling stories of his time in Korea and growing up in New Castle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday,May 7,2012,at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Curt Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
