Gwen Rogers, 65, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and dedicated friend, went to spend eternity with Jesus Friday, Sept. 8, 2006.

Her memorial will be a celebration of her life 11 a.m. Thursday at Harvest Church in Watauga, Texas.

Gwen was born December 29, 1940 in Leonard, Texas. She was the 5th of 6 children born to the late Thomas Edmund and Mamie Wright.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Rogers; sons, John Andrew (Rusty) Rogers, James Randall (Randy) Rogers and wife, Sheila; daughters, Samantha Perry and husband, Roland, Sonja Hall and husband, Josh, Stacie Ditmore and husband, Jeremy; seven precious grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; and many more family members and friends.

Gwen was a warm hearted woman that always had the time and a kind word for everyone. She was an accountant with her own business for many years while also rearing 5 children. Gwen created a home full of love that will go on through her family forever. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
