Allen Phillip Brannon, 61 of Conway, passed away at his home, Wednesday, May 2, 20121, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Conway, Arkansas on February 11, 1951, he was a son to the late Paul and Katherine Hegi Brannon. Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Central Arkansas and was the Purchasing Manager for BEI Precision Systems. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Calvary's Promise Sunday School Class.

Allen was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Nell Starkey and Helen Kirby.

Allen is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joy McKee Brannon; daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer and Matt Jacobs of Russellville, Laura and Chad Collins of Sherwood, Katie and Jeff Herrold of Scarborough, Maine; son and daughter-in-law Brad and Jill Brannon of Conway; sisters: Virginia Cossey of Conway, Oma Hargrove of Bono, Neva Pearson of Greenbrier; a special brother-in-law Larry Hargrove of Bono; grandchildren: Jordan and Anna Jacobs, Abby, Allie, Chase and Sophie Collins, Eli Brannon, Alyssa and Zoey and a host of extended family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Antioch Baptist Church, with Pastor Jason Aultman and Bro. Shawn Hammontree officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with his nephews, David Hargrove, Mike Kirby, Tim Kirby, Kenny Starkey, Allen Gwatney and Bill Cossey, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church building fund.
