Union City – Arl F. (Slim) Midlam, 82, 723 West Hickory St., was dead on arrival at Union City Hospital at 11:30 p.m. Friday. He had collapsed while uptown.
He had resided in the Union City area for 42 years, moving here from Dunkirk. He was a retired farmer and served 14 years with the Union City, Ohio, police Force and as a volunteer fireman.
He was a member of the Lisbon Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hugh Armstrong of Celina, Ohio; two sons, Arthur of Union City and Frank of Greenville, Ohio; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leslie of Greenville.
Services for Mr. Midlam will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fraze and Timmons Funeral Home with burial in the Lisbon Cemetery
