Peter McPhee was born on the Isle of Islay, Scotland and came to Mt.Forest, Ont, Canada when only 10 years of age. Twenty-six years ago he moved to Alpena, Mich., and removed to this city [Two Harbors] in May 1893. His wife Elizabeth died in April [1904]. For the past year, Mr. McPhee had made his home with his son Nicholas in Duluth.
The surviving relatives are the Misses Katherine and Elizabeth McPhee, daughters, and son Nicholas of this city; a son, Neil McPhee of Alpena, Mich; a daughter, [Janet] Mrs. William McAlpine of that city, and [Flora] Mrs. C.W. Stark, [Edith] Mrs. E.R. Fitch and [Mary Ann] Mrs. W.B. Bodey, daughters, of Two Harbors.
