Virgil M. Albright, 74, Altoona, died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of Martin B. and Lorraine (Wilt) Albright. He married Carol A. Columbo on May 5, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters: Kimberly Frankenberger and husband, Brian, and Heidi Dixon and husband, Jeff; two grandchildren: Eric and wife, Raechel, and Todd and wife, Stacy; and a niece, Sandra (Albright) Steele.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Albright.

Virgil served in the U.S. Army as a private first class during the Korean War. He was employed as a bus driver for Blue and White Bus Lines of Altoona for 25 years and as a delivery driver for Imler's Poultry of Altoona for many years.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
