Services for Mrs. Becky Wood Newcomb will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Nathan Firmin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
The family request that visitation be observed Tuesday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Newcomb, 46, of Slidell passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Lacy and Dorothy Marie Sides Wood; sister, Patricia Wood Lee; brother-in-law, Edgar Cripps, III.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth E. Newcomb, Jr.; son, Rance Allen Wood; brothers, Larry Wood and David Wood; sisters, Jo Carol Cripps, Betty Martel (John), Donna Autrey (Steve), Sandy Lemoine (Brad Chandler) and Judy Lee Dalrymple; granddaughter, Jordyn Wood; aunt, Frances Utzman; father-in-law, Kenneth E. Newcomb, Sr. and mother-in-law, Judy Isles; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Humane Society.
