Mr. M.C. Allmond Dies at Home in Vidalia
Mr. M.C. Allmond aged 69, and a well known citizen of Vidalia, died Saturday night about 8:30 after a lingering illness, Mr. Allmond had been sick for several weeks, his condition gradually growing worse until the end.
Funeral services were held from the farm residence Sunday afternoon at 3:30, being conducted by Rev. J.E. Samply. The interment followed at the Ferguson Cemetery.
Mt. Allmond is survived by his wife, three sons, Loy Allmond, E.G. Allmond, Jr. and Dennis Allmond. He also leaves one brother, E.F. Allmond of Montgomery Co., and three sisters, Mrs. I.N. Roundtree of Vidalia, Mrs. Emma Davis of Swainsboro, and Mrs. Egie Roundtree of Jacksonville, Fla.
