SKEELS RESIDENT DIES WEDNESDAY

SERVICES FOR MRS. LEONARD CASSIDAY HELD HERE SUNDAY

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, December 8, at 2 o'clock at the Skeels Baptist church for Mrs. Leonard Cassiday conducted by Rev. Mr. Murray of North Bradley. Burial services were at the Sherman cemetery.

Sylvia Iona Grey was born in Allen county, Indiana, July 29, 1884. She was married to Leonard Cassiday of Skeels October 20, 1900, by Rev. Gilmore. Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Cassiday settled on a farm where they have since made their home. Six children were born to them. Mrs. Cassiday died December 4, 1935, after an illness of several months. For a number of years she has been a member of the Skeels Baptist church.

Surviving her are her husband, Leonard Cassiday, one son, Delvin, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cassiday of Skeels, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cassiday of Flint, living at home; Mrs. Edwin Cassiday of Midland; five grandchildren; her father, Jacob Grey of Bethel; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Ordiway of Gladwin, Mrs. Lydia Poland of Midland, Mrs. Cora Cassiday of Skeels and Mrs. Mary Cuddie of Bethel; two brothers, Walter Grey of Flint and Nathan Grey of Skeels; one aunt, Mrs. James Tucker, who is living with the family.
