Gideon Heffner, of Kempton, R. 2, near Eckville. died of heart failure at his home Saturday evening.

He had been ill for several months but able to be about, having taken a walk on Saturday afternoon. He was a son of the late Henry Heffner, of near Lenhartsville. He attained the age of 54 years, 6 months and 20 days.

He followed the occupation of farmer and lived near Miller's Evangelical Church, Kempton, R. 2.

There survive his widow. Kate (nee Nester), two sons, Samuel and George, both at home; three grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters: Charles and Lewis, Lenhartsville; Howard, Hamburg; Daniel, Pittsburgh; Henry, New Jersey; Mrs. Frank Kunkel, Hamburg; Mrs. Alfred Greenawalt, Lenhartsville, and Mrs. Milton Leibensperger, Shoemakersville.

The funeral was held from his home with further services at New Bethel Church. Rev. C. R. Rahn officiated. Undertaker Samuel Nester had charge.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, without further notice, from his late residence, near New Bethel Church, Kempton R. D. No. 2, on Thursday, 1 p. m. Futher services in New Bethel Church. Interment in cemetery adjoining.
