FRANKLINTON - Jerry Wayne Godfrey, 54, of 64 Cone Drive, died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Franklin County and was the son of the late Geneva Dawson Godfrey and Tommie Milton Godfrey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2001 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Godfrey is survived by his son, Jerry Godfrey Jr.; sisters, Sandra Lowery and her husband, Cliff of Franklinton; brother, Jimmy Godfrey and his wife, Faye of Franklinton; several nieces and nephews.
