Annie Franklin, 93, Campbellsville, daughter of the late John (Jack) Vaughn and Mary Rose Newcomb Vaughn, born in Marion County, Aug. 8, 1897, died at 11:11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, 1990 in Campbellsville after an illness. She was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was married to John Dee Franklin, Dec. 24, 1917. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1965. She was also preceded in death by four sons, Guy Daniel Franklin, Hollis Franklin, Plez Franklin, and Ralph Franklin. Franklin is survived by one daughter and three sons, Pansy Willis, Bobby Franklin, and Paul Franklin, all of Campbellsville; and John D. Franklin, Jr., Jamestown; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertie Druin, Campbellsville and Lillian Blankenship, Mesa, Ariz.; and several other relatives and many friends. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Rev. Howard Davenp!
