Ralph P. Smith, 93, of 723 Park avenue, died shortly after noon Saturday in Home hospital where he had been a patient nine hours. Born near Colfax ,he lived most of his life in Clarks Hill. For the past nine years he had made his home with his son, William S. Smith. His wife, the former Lura Catherine Moore, died in 1940. He was a member of Christian church and Miller lodge, F. and A. M. of Clarks Hill. Before his retirement he was field manager for the Arcady Milling Co., in Chicago. Surviving besides the son with whom he lived are two daughters, Mrs. Maud l. Beiken of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mayme McDaniel of Stockwell; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Shobe of Frankfort, Mrs. Melisa Bartlett of Norwood, Oh., and Mrs. Hattie Bowman of West Lafayette.
