Peter Lafontaine, 79, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Peter was born April 18, 1933, in Easthampton, Mass., to Albert and Josephine Lafontaine. He was one of 13 children and was the lucky number seven. He was the past post commander of American Legion, Dalton-LaValle Post 224, in Easthampton. He was a member from 1974-77. He retired after 20 years of service with Savage Arms as a gunsmith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Lafontaine.
Survivors: He is survived by his loving daughter, Debra Colley and husband, Lonnie; four grandchildren; 14 and one on the way great-grandchildren; three brothers; five sisters; and numerous loving family and friends.
