CATHERINE MILLER

Catherine, widow of the late Elias S. Miller, daughter of Samuel J. and Elizabeth Yoder Beachy, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, at her home near Niverton, Elk Lick Twp. She lived 93 years and 5 days, having been born Feb. 16, 1852. She was united in marriage to Elias S. Miller, Dec. 12, 1878.

The following children survive: Norman of near Grantsville; Nannie (Mrs. Hiram Wengard) near Johnstown; Harry, Goshen, Ind., and Irvin and Eunice, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Surviving are 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was one of a family of 13, of whom three survive, Jonas Beachy, Sherwood, Ohio; Cornelius Beachy, Middleburg, Ind., and Lydia, wife of Daniel J. Swartzendruber, Oakland, Md. She united with the Amish Church in her youth and lived a faithful and consistent life for many years in His service.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning, Feb. 24, in the family home, by Brother Christian W. Bender, and at the church by Brother Ivan Miller. The body was laid to rest in the family cemetery.
