Arthur "Earl" Adamson, 68, of Corydon, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at his home near Corydon. He was born February 26, 1944, in Leavenworth, Indiana, to the late Farley Adamson and Amelia Jane Hannel Beals.
He was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Eldon and Marvin Adamson and his sister, Gretchan Sturgill.
Survivors include his wife, Elvira Salzameda Adamson; his daughters, Earlene McCutchen (Chris) of Corydon and Karen Jackson (Jimmy) of Jeffersonville; his son, Charles R. Adamson (Lori) of Corydon; his step son, Christopher Wallace of Rolla, Missouri; his sister, Lois Scott of Corydon; his brother, Charles A. Adamson of Corydon; his grandchildren, Ben Martin, Courtney Lewis, Philip Ward, Michael Ward, Tiffany Martin, Amy Adamson, Keirsten Adamson and Savanna Adamson and his great grandson, Kristopher Ward.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 Rev. Scott Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery near Corydon. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Published in The Courier-Journal on April 29, 2012.
