Edna Torrence: ROYAL CENTER - Edna Torrence, 89, of Lucerne; died in Memorial Hospital at 7:50 a:m. Saturday. Born Sept. 15, 1893, in Lucerne, to James and Sarah Riley Hickey, she was married to Rea Torrence, who died Oct. 12,1939. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lucerne. Surviving are two nieces, Sally Farrer, Columbia City; and Donna Bartard, Grand Rapids, Mich; and a nephew, James Hickey, Lucerne. Two brothers and three sisters are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Father Donald Eder officiating. Burial will be in the Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at7:30 p.m.
