Evolyn was the daughter of L.M. Johnson and Sarah Cox Johnson. She was 90 years old at the time of her passing. She was the wife of Walter Brewer and the sister of Roy Johnson.

Evolyn worked for Willow Run Bomber Plant during World War II.

She also had worked for Ford Motor Co. and was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Evolyn was survived by three daughters, Billie Phillips, Bobbie Tinnel, and Shirley Preston; a brother, Roy; three sisters, Edna Stiner, Hazel Keck, and Neil Tolliver; several grandchilren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter, Patsy Brewer; two brothers, Ted and Arthur; and two sisters, Thelma Johnson in infancy and Madie Keck.

Evolyn was laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, Mi.
