He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Merlin, three brothers, five sisters, and seven grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Eleanor; three sons, Delmar of Chippewa Falls, Earl of Bloomer, and Joe, Jr. of California; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Mavis) Vinette and Mrs. Dick (Verjean) Kunsman, both of Bloomer, and Mrs. Dom (Arlene) Pake of Michigan; 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, George of Trego and Ed of Bloomer; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Smith of Chippewa Falls.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer, with interment in North Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rock-Driscoll Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today, and the parish rosary will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. tonight.
