Howard Timothy "Tic" Short, 51 of Shenandoah, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at his home on Fleeburg Road.
Howard was born October 6, 1960 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Donald Wayne and Virginia Elois Shifflett Short.
Howard was a lifetime resident of the Shenandoah area, and enjoyed and loved his family and friends. He was employed as an electrician's helper, and was also a former member of the Shenandoah Moose Lodge.
On July 25, 1986, Howard married Faye Genevieve Comer, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher and Wesley Short, both of Shenandoah; two daughters, Cassie Short and Wendy Harlow and husband, R.L., all of Shenandoah; a brother, Larry Short of Shenandoah; two sisters, Sherry Plum and Christy McAlister, both of Shenandoah; and a grandson, Cameron Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with the Rev. Dickie Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at the George Comer Cemetery in Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 ~ 8:00 pm on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
