On October 27th 1836, Nancy married Archibald Kennedy Patton, son of William and Jane [Kennedy] Patton of Cedar Springs; with whom she had two daughters.
Archie Patton was killed during the Civil War at the Battle of Shiloh on April 6th 1862; leaving Nancy to raise their two daughters.
Nancy Caroline Ansley Patton departed this life on the 3rd day of October 1880 and was buried beside her daughter Margaret Patton Piggott in the churchyard cemetery next to Long Cane A.R.P. church in Troy.
