Edwin Nash
Edwin F. Nash, 89, of Sherman
Township, died Friday after a
long illness.
Born on Nov. 4, 1871, in
Wadsworth, Ohio, he came to
Gladwin County in 1900. He was
married to the former Daisy Mae
Cassiday on June 29, 1901, at
Skeels. She preceded him in
death on May 31, 1958.
Mr. Nash operated a farm in
Sherman Township and had owned
and operated various lumber
mills in Gladwin. He operated
the Chevrolet and Ford Agency
in Beaverton from 1916 to 1923,
and worked at the Chevrolet
plant in Flint for 20 years before
retiring in 1943.
Survivors include two sons,
George of Harrison and Ralph of
Otter Lake; two brothers, John
and Walter, of Gladwin; 10
grandchildren a n d 19 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Skeels
Baptist. Church with the Rev.
Carl Briggs officiating. Burial
was in the Skeels cemetery.
