Florence - Mrs. Ruth B. Lawrence,75, died Saturday morning at Heritage Home of Florence after an extended illness. Mrs.Lawrence was born in Williamsburg County,a daughter of the late Robert J. and Margaret Burrows Barrineau. She is retired from Avon Products Inc., where she served as a District Manager.
Surviving are her husband, William E. Lawrence of Florence; two sons, Edwin Westbury (Patti) of Summerville and William E. Lawrence Jr. (Barbara) of Hartsville; two daughters;Judi Hamilton (Sam) of Virginia and Debbie Cribb (Randy) of Timmonsville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son,Jerry Thomas Lawrence. Also surviving are two sisters, Julia Cribb of Georgetown and Virginia Boozer of Columbia.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cain Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, May 17 in Cain Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Sumter.
Funeral services are being directed by Cain Funeral Home.
