GERBER, Paul D. Paul David Gerber, 70, of Tavistock passed away at LHSC University Hospital, London on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was born at Wellesley on September 16, 1941 a son of the late Aaron and Emma (Lichty) Gerber. Besides farming in East Zorra Township, Paul owned and operated his own trucking company "Gerber Distributors Ltd." He was a member of East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line. Paul is survived by his wife, the former Diane Marlyne Bender, whom he married at East Zorra Mennonite Church on July 16, 1966; his daughter Bonnie and her husband Ari Sirin of Kitchener; his son, Roger Gerber of Tavistock; his daughter-in-law, Deb Gerber of Tavistock; four grandchildren, Sevan and Alex Sirin, Katelyn and Branden Gerber; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Bill Howell, Helen and Bernie Dippel, Ruby and Paul Erb, Ellie and Bill Clark, Anita and Gary Nafziger, Evelyn and Larry Shelton, Ferne and Dennis Shantz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerry and Carol Gerber, Eldon and Donna Gerber, Grant and Catherine Gerber; his mother-in-law, Hilda (Roth) Bender; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Bender, Randy and Joyce Bender, Gail and Gerald Scheerer along with many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Elmon Bender and his brother-in-law, Richard Kiertscher. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Wednesday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line, on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. Pastor Ray Martin will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th line. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Multiple Myeloma Society of Canada or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 1-519-655-2431.
