Andrés was born on February 5, 1929, in Vega Larga, Coahuila, Mexico and moved to California where he retired from the L.A. City school district.
Andrés later made a home with his son, David and grandson, Valentino in Belén, where he enjoyed going for walks, working in the yard and loved his coffee and morning newspaper. Andres was always reading, watching the news and was passionate about politics and current events.
If ever his children or grandchildren were in need of help he was always the first person there.
Andrés was preceded in death by his son, Juan Francisco Barron, parents, María De Refugio-Aragón and David Barron, siblings, Benjamin, Raúl, Reinmunda and María Barron and the mother of his eight children, Ana María Barron.
Andrés is survived by eight children, Naomi Vésquez of Rio Rancho, Andrés Barron Jr. of Los Lunas, Lydia Pacheco of Upland, California, Ana Nuñez and her husband, Mike of Montclair, California, Stella Renteria of Veguita, David Barron of Belén, Juan Barron and his wife, Nancy of Los Lunas and Priscilla Rodríguez and her husband, Joe of Rio Rancho and sister, Socorro Aragón–Barron. Andrés is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Andrés will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens.
