Menford Clayton "Clay" Burr
Age 74, Tecumseh MO - Graveside services were Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Baptist Hill Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Burr died 5:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at West Vue Nursing Center. He was born Jan. 23, 1934, at Neosho, Mo., to William Thomas and Lavear Thompson Burr.

On June 23, 1975, he was married at Salem, Ark., to Rosa Lee Ellison. Mr. Burr was an avid truck driver and for 30 years, had been a deputy in Fulton County, Ark., and for several years, a reserve deputy for Ozark County, Mo. He enjoyed working in his garden and his many different crafts, including one of his favorites, Tin Men. Also, Mr. Burr enjoyed bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Burr, of the family home; one sister, Norma Barnett, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Clinton Burr, state of Florida; his mother-in-law, Ruth Ellison; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Ellison and wife, Laura, and Donald Ellison and wife, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Lyndall Kuk, all of Caulfield, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents; stepfather and step-mother; father-in-law, Sherman Ellison; and one brother-in-law, James Kuk, precede him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Hill Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
