G. Eaddy Creel, prominent Florence county family of Poston, died in the Johnson Memorial hospital at Hemingway about 11:45 Saturday night, following a prolonged illness.
Mr. Creel was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army Air Force for three years. He saw much service in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a graduate of the Johnsonville high school and also attended Newberry college. He was a member of the Johnsonville American Legion post and a member of Trinity Methodist church.
