Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
She was born May 14, 1924 in Raleigh to the late Dan and Emma (Rockwell) Farmer. On Aug. 4, 1946, she married the Rev. Delmar Feazel, who preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1999.
Mrs. Feazel was a member of Broughton First Baptist Church. Her elementary education was accomplished at the Raleigh Elementary School. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, receiving the Bachelor of Science in Eduacation and the Master of Science in Education degrees. She was a life member of the National Education Association, a member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and the Gallatin/Saline Retired Teachers Association. She taught at Wasson, Raleigh, the Jefferson School in Eldorado, and the Eldorado Elementary School. After 34 years of teaching, she retired from the Eldorado Unit 4 School System on July 1, 1984.
She is survived by a nephew, Kenneth Farmer, Green Oaks, and nieces Louise Swan, Harrisburg, Lotella Cole, Harrisburg, Leona Younger, Raleigh; a sister-in-law, Pauline Farmer Harbison, Raleigh; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Estella Wesley, and brothers Charley Farmer, Orville Farmer, and Clifford Farmer.
