According to his death certificate, he was born on August 2, 1825 in Scotland and is the son of Robert & Marguerite Forbes.

Hiram Forbes
Hiram Forbes was born in Herkimer New York, August 2nd, 1828 and died at his home in Bancroft on November 18th 1906, aged 78 years, 3 months and 16 days. On November 13th he was striken (sic) with paralysis and passed away on Sunday evening, quietly and without pain.
The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Tuesday, Rev. Junklin officiating and interment made in the Bancroft Cemetery.
