Edith Coomer, 100, Adair & Taylor Counties, KY (1915-2016)
She was born Friday, December 31, 1915, in Sparksville, Adair County, KY, the daughter of William "W.L." & Flora Curry. She died Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in Monroe, Ohio, at the age of 100 years, one month, and 24 days.
Edith was formerly a resident of Columbia and Campbellsville, KY where she & her late husband, Cager, owned and managed a grocery store. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dimple Curry, Blanche Turner & twin-sister, Edra Cornelison; and one brother, Billy Curry. Mrs. Coomer is survived by:
One sister, Dessie Tatum of Florida
Two sons, David L. (Shannon) Coomer of Monroe, OH & Harold D. (Vivecia) Coomer of Decatur, AL
Seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Doug) Anderson, Dana (Jonathan) Morgan,Amy (Raphael) Avila, Chad Coomer, Soni (Rob) Lukens, Misti (Jason) Palmer, and Kristi (Michael) Thrasher
