Anne Mabe, 91, departed this life peacefully Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at a local hospital.
Memorial service: At a later date at Crestmont Baptist Church in Burleson.
WillAnna, often called Anne, was born July 27, 1919, in Cleburne to Catherine E. Smith and Thomas Austin Huckabee. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1937 with honors and married Delton Mabe that same year.
She had 67 wonderful years with her Delton before he passed away in 2004.
Anne was a teller at First National Bank of Fort Worth for 13 years and a secretary at Security Pacific Bank in Montebello, Calif., for 3 1/2 years. Although inactive in recent years, she was an active member of Crestmont Baptist Church, beginning in 1978. In addition to her loving family, Anne had many friends who loved her greatly. She was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emil Dean and Thomas Wayne Huckabee; and sisters, Mary Fern Pipes and Catherine Smith.
Survivors: Son, Jerry Mabe of Burleson; grandsons, Christopher and wife, Lynn, of Colleyville and Jeffrey and wife, Heather, of Denton; and great-grandchildren, Lainie and Luke.
