Wife of Lieut Col John Murray

Born 2/2/1738 in Ireland. Daughter of Andrew Mayes and Rebecca McFarland, who emigrated to Lancaster county. She died June 22, 1807 Dauphin Borough.

Children of John and Margaret were:
William Murray: Born September 6, 1764 - March 18, 1840

Margaret Murray: Born February 5, 1770

Rebecca Murray Green: Born October 19, 1774 - January 6, 1837; married Judge Innis Green, son of Col. Timothy Green and Mary Innis. Timothy Green built a mill at the mouth of Stony Creek and the town of Dauphin was originally named Green's Mill after him. Rebecca is buried in the Dauphin cemetery with her husband and parents.
