Obituaries from Benton Co, Ark Vol 1 1884-1898 Pg 126 - Crowell, Chas - Died in this city at the family residence Fri afternoon June 02 1893 at 12 30 o'clock, Chas Crowell, aged 74 yrs. Mr Crowell had been sick for over three months and his death had been expected for several days. He had been a citizen of Ark over forty yrs and had lived in Benton Co abt two years. His sons, Crowell Brothers, were at one time largely engaged in the mercantile business in this city and are now in business at different points in the state. The decd leaves a wife, seven sons and three dau's to mourn for him. He was a devout member of the Church of Christ. The funeral took place Sat afternoon and the remains were interred in the Odd Fellows Cem. We extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Benton Co Democrat June 08 1893.
