BOSCOBEL - Alvin S. Ritchie, age 82, of Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at the Boscobel Area Health Care in Boscobel. He was born on May 1, 1925, in Haney Township, Crawford County, the son of Alfred and Lucy (Taft) Ritchie. He married Fredrica Gebhard on Dec. 7, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. She preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 1988. He is survived bv a daughter, Vicky (William) Tam of Oceanside, Calif.; a son, Robert (Kari) Ritchie of Highland; five grandchildren; four brothers, Floyd (Ruby) Ritchie of Madison, Virgil (Maxine) Ritchie of Boscobel, Ronald (Margaret) Ritchie of Gays Mills, and LaVon (Mary) Ritchie of Fitchburg; and two sisters, Iliff Bell of Gays Mills, and Eileen (Clarence) Kuehni of Blue River. He was preceded in death by his parents; along with two brothers, James Ritchie and Royal Ritchie. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the KENDALL FUNERAL HOME in Boscobel. Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
