MINERAL POINT / DARLINGTON - Royal A. Ritchie, age 67, passed away Saturday morning, July 14, 2001, at his residence. He was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Crawford County, to A.S. and Lucy (Taft) Ritchie. On July 10, 1960, Royal was united in marriage to Alma Brendemuehl, in Fennimore, Wis. Survivors include his wife, Alma; a son/ David (Barbara) Ritchie of Darlington; a daughter, Rebecca (Stephen) Leffelman of Darlington; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Grant Ritchie, and Stephanie and Royal Leffelman, all of Darlington; two sisters, Iliff (Darrel) Bell of Gays Mills, and Eileen (Clarence) Kuehni of Blue River; five brothers, Alvin and Virgil (Maxine), all' of Boscobel, Ronald (Margaret) of Gays Mills, Floyd (Ruby) and Lavoh (Mary), all of Madison; a sister-in-law, Aletta Ritchie of Boscobel; brothers-inlaw, Arno and Billy (Bonnie Kay) Brendemuehl, all of Fennimore, Dale (Ruth) Brendemuehl of Arlinton, Mass.; sister-in-law, Koiho Brondemuehl of Kenosha; and also many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; sister-in-law, Freda; parents-in-law, Oscar and Gladys Brendemuehl; and a brother-in-law, Ivan Brendemuehl. Funeral Services will be held at BOSCOBEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Boscobel, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2001. Pastor C. Phillip Burt officiating. Burial will be at Haney Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2001, at the LARSON FUNERAL HOME in Fennimore, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
