Georgia married Cyrus Eugene William in Jackson County, Tennessee on December 31, 1924. Georgia and Cyrus moved to Coalinga, Fresno County, California, where Cyrus worked in the oil business. By 1928, they had moved to Huntington Beach, Orange County, California. They first child, Ronnie Wayne Williams, was born in Huntington Beach on September 24, 1928. Their second and last child, Peggy Jeane Williams, was born in Coalinga on February 22, 1932.
Georgia separated from Cyrus sometime around Peggy’s birth, but they were never divorce. Georgia lived in Huntington Beach until 1956, then moved to Bakersfield, where she lived for over twenty years. In the late 1970’s, Georgia moved into her daughters’ home in Porterville, about 55 miles north of Bakersfield. She remained there the rest of her life. Georgia never married after her separation.
On February 2, 1990, Georgia was warming her hands over the kitchen stove, when her clothing caught fire and critically burned her over fifteen percent of her body. She died at a burn center in Fresno, California on February 15, 1990. She was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bakersfield.
