Dies in St. Joseph's Hospital
Mrs. Elizabeth Troxel, 50, Route 3, Lockport Township, an employee of the First National Bank, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, this morning after a lingering illness.
Born in Lockport on April 2, 1907, Mrs. Troxel has resided in this area all her life, except for nine years spent in the State of Ohio. She received her education in the Lockport Grade and High school and was a graduate of the University of Illinois. She has been employed at the Lockport Bank for the past 16 years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving are one one son, Alan, her mother, Mrs. Healy H. Alexander, all of Lockport; four sisters, Mrs. Irving (Mary) Nelson of Cerro Gordo, Ill., Mrs. James (Margaret) Eaton of Hatboro, Pa., Mrs. Kenneth (Caroline) Emery of Rolling Hills, Calif., Mrs. Gilbert (Ruth) Durrer of Streator, Ill., three brothers, James Alexander of Plainfield, John and H. Hayes Alexander all of Lockport.
The body is at the Goodale funeral home from where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert Core will officiate. Following the service the body will be sent to Dayton, Ohio, for services and burial on Monday.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 10 and on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
