POQUOSON - Goldie Ellen Powell Page, 83, entered peacefully into new life on Jan. 15, 2010, surrounded by her loving family and the compassionate staff of the Intensive Care Unit of Riverside Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Poquoson, and remained a resident her entire life. She was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson, the Ladies Bible Class, the Marion Page Circle, and the Chancel Choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Goldie married her childhood sweetheart, Estrich "Junie" Page Jr., and enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 61 years.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annie Powell.

She is survived by her husband, Estrich W. Page Jr.; a son, Danny Page and wife, Mary; a daughter, Cynthia Jordan and husband, Everett Jr.; seven grandchildren, Renee' Ferguson and fiancE, Wayne Crabtree, Carrie Forrest and husband, Robbie, Jeremy Jordan and wife, Rosanna, Joshua Jordan, Jay Steckroth, Wendy Shannon and husband, Mike, and Chris Steckroth. Goldie was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kayla, Travis, Jaclyn, Elizabeth, Josh, and Marleigh; and numerous extended family and close friends. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, with an incredible smile and unselfish love for her family.
