POQUOSON - Ophelia Sue Williams, 83, went to be with the angels on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, and retired as a custodian with Poquoson Public Schools. She was a member of the Virginia Peninsula Campers Association and the Oldtimers Roller Skating Club. She was an avid bingo player, and loved crocheting.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Earl Williams Sr.; her parents, Elton "Pots" and Laura Topping; a son, Robert "Bobby" Williams; three brothers, Marshall, Vernon, and Bubba Topping; and a sister, Laura Mae Eledge.
She is survived by a son, Earl Williams Jr. (Geneva); two daughters, Linda King (Doug) and Patricia Pigford (Donald); a daughter-in-law, Lesa Williams; a special aunt, Lillian Pelesz; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
