Beverly K. Murray, 78, of Main Street, Emlenton, died at 12:06 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at UPMC Northwest following an extended illness.

Mrs. Murray was born May 14, 1933, in Richland Township, Clarion County. She was the daughter of Edward L. and Florence A. Montgomery Bechtel.

Beverly cherished and spent a lot of time with her grandparents, Blanch and David Montgomery. She attended Emlenton High School.

In her younger years, Mrs. Murray worked as a caregiver. She also had been employed as a waitress in various Emlenton restaurants as well as Emlenton's Laurel Manor.

Beverly enjoyed attending the Scrubgrass Area Senior Center. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed flowers, and had a love for all animals.

She was an active member of Big Bend United Methodist Church.

She is survived by five children, Joseph M. Stewart of Princeton, Ill., Robert L. "Bob" Stewart and his wife, Nancy, of Apache Junction, Ariz., Barbara K. Best and her husband, Walter, of Emlenton, Terrance A. "Terry" Stewart and his wife, Pam, of Clintonville and James L. "Jim" Wade and his wife, Wanda, of Emlenton.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Michael Stewart, LeeAnn Stewart Jones, Sean Stewart, Robert Best, Stephen Best, Joshua Stewart, Derek Wade, Stacy Wade, and Devon Wade; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dale Murray, on Oct. 12, 2007, and a daughter-in-law, Donna Mae Stewart.

Interment will follow in Big Bend Cemetery.
