Mrs. Stiles was born in West York, on February 12, 1918, daughter of the late Wilson and Emma (Zeigler) Baublitz of West York.
She worked for Black's Hosiery. Mrs. Stiles was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ and formerly a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ. She enjoyed hiking and camping with her beloved Austin. She loved to cook and bake, spend time with her family, play Chinese checkers, and she always had a smile on her face.
Mrs. Stiles leaves two sons, H. Emory Stiles of York, James W. Stiles and his wife, Michelle of Highlands, N.C.; four grandsons, James Stiles and his wife, Amanda of York, Jonathan Stiles and his wife, Carol of Gettysburg, Benjamin Stiles and his wife, Lynn of Strasburg, and Michael Stiles of Florida; three granddaughters, Mai Lou Garcia and her husband, Mateo of Hidalgo, Mexico, Piper Merchant of York, and Courtney Keech and her husband, Christopher of York; 13 great-grandchildren, Brannigan, Cooper, Lexa, Delaney, Austin, Keefer, Emma, Jonathan, Heather, Tyler, Corey, Shannon, and Nicole; two step great-grandchildren, Shawna and Bradley; and a sister, Katherine King of York. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Walter, Lynford, and Russell; three sisters, Ruth, Alice, and Dolly; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Stiles.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York with a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. The Rev. Amy J. Schultz and The Rev. Henry W. Korinth will be officiating at the service.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York.
