Kathryn M. (Baublitz) King, 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Manor Care Health Service - North.

She was one of thirteen children born to the late Wilson and Emma (Zeigler) Baublitz of West York.

Kathryn was often called Katty or Kass by her multitude of friends.

She lived in West York all of her life.

In her teens and early 20's, Katty was well known for her roller skating skills - winning many championship tournaments.

She was a life-member of St. James Lutheran Church on S. Adams Street in West York.

Dad worked three jobs so mom could be a stay at home mother with five children - that was their priority. We never wanted for anything, which was their goal.

Easter egg hunts in the backyard, dad dressed up like Santa, picnics and parties, huge holiday dinners. From relish dishes - to pies made from scratch - and all made by mom alone. She also made the most delicious cake with peanut butter icing for our birthdays.

After the youngest child reached high school, Kass spread her wings and ventured out into the work force.

She worked at McCrory's as an Assistant Manager in Women's Wear for many years, then worked as a Cashier at Super Shoes for five years. She enjoyed these jobs immensely and she was quite the people person, making more and more friends every day.

We would also like to mention a dear lady, a nurse who came into Kathryn's life during her husband's illness. Until the day Kathryn passed away, Diane Isenberg continued to visit mom. She would order and organize her medications, not as a paying job, but almost like a daughter would do for her mother. It was a loving relationship that Kathryn cherished! Thank You, Diane.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Edward A. King, to whom she was married sixty-one years before his passing on March 31, 1999; her daughters-in-law: Sally A. King, wife of Edward E. and Linda King, wife of Barry L.; her son-in-law: Greg McCray, husband of Diane L.; and, all of her siblings.

Katty leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Diane L. McCray and Barbara K. Keeney and husband, Greg; her sons: Edward E. King of South Carolina, Barry L. King and companion, Pat of Florida, and Michael R. King; her twelve grandchildren; her seven step-grandchildren; her twenty-one great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery where she will join her "Eddie Boy" once again.
