Cammie Balderson Thompson, age 95, of Oldhams, widow of Elmer Thompson, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Mrs. Thompson was a retired caregiver and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Survivors are her son, Bobby Thompson of Farnham and her five daughters, Hazel Minter of Tappahannock, Betty Mahan of Farnham, Ann Stephens of Highland Springs, Jean Prescott of Farnham and Elvie Prescott of Haynesville; 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her sons Elmer Richard Thompson, Jr. and Lloyd Eugene Thompson. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Don Zampogna officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday April 19 at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, 10300 Richmond Road, Warsaw, VA 22572. Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 130 Beulah Lane, Warsaw, VA 22572.
