The census of 1920 shows him to be married to Josephine (Josie) Alexander with one son (Joe Jr.) who was born June 29, 1918. ln 1930 the census shows him to be separated and/or divorced and still in Chicago, working in a machine shop as a machinist. It is unknown when he moved to Biloxi, MS.
