Hulon F. Martin, 81, of Bolton, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be Friday, April 20 from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 21, from 1-2 p.m. with memorial services at 2 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson chapel in Clinton with burial services following at Lakewood Memorial Park with Rev. Clifford Nelson officiating.

Hulon was a life-long member of Beulah Memorial Baptist Church in Brownsville where through the years he was a deacon and music director. He loved country music, Branson, and Nashville. He played guitar by ear, had a family band for several years and was an avid songwriter. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clifton and Iva Martin and brothers, Kelly and Creed Martin.Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Roma Dean Hutton Martin of Bolton, daughters, Sue Miller of Clinton, Vicki Hobson (Bob) of Bolton, Roma Sweatman (Lamar) of Florence, son Hulon "Bubba" Martin, Jr. (Laura) of Tallulah, LA, the joys of his life-his nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, sister Etoy Ellis of Bolton, and brother James A. Martin of Ridgeland.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Hills Nursing Home for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at 4209 Lakeland Dr, Ste 298, Flowood, MS 39232 or to Beulah Memorial Baptist Church.
