She was the daughter of the late Percy E. and Myrtle Rohrbaugh Alwine.
Mrs. Sweigart was a chaplain for the Richard A. McAlister Post of DAR. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hanover. Mrs. Sweigart was a volunteer with VNA/Hospice and the Hanover Public Library. She served in World War II with the Army Nurse Corp.
She was the wife of Keith G. Sweigart, who departed this life July 5, 1964, and is survived by one son, Mark E. Sweigart of Hanover; three daughters, Suzanne Shaffer of Spring Grove, Cynthia S. Howe of Hanover, and Laura S. Franze of Dover, DE; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Anna A. Merchant of Lebanon and Phyllis E. Keller of Greencastle; and one brother, Philip E. Alwine of New Oxford.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
